New Around Here
I have two Asus RT N66u routers with latest firmware. One of which is set up in media bridge mode and has an android TV Minix X8h and a new 55" Samsung HD television UN55J6300 wired to it.

Issue:. Samsung TV doesn't connect to internet when wired to the Asus router in media bridge mode.

The Minix is fine, no issues.

The TV actually works for a day connected to the media bridge, but then stops. If I reboot Asus in ROUTER mode, the TV works again, only for a day or so.

The message in the TV says it's connected to my local but, but cannot connect to the internet.

Help please!

Connecting the TV via Wireless or Ethernet? - that would help folks - but if I recall, samsung TV's do odd things with their hostname (localhost) which can cause problems if you're configuring them via DHCP...

I did mention it was wired to the router in media bridge mode.

You can only connect devices via Ethernet when in media bridge mode. At least Asus via their own firmware.

Go into the TV setup and set a static IP there, rather than let it try to do DHCP (even with a reservation in the router's DHCP) - Keep the static IP out of scope of the router's range.

should be fine then...

I can't seem to enter an IP address that works. Connecting to wireless is fine btw.

See picture of current settings on the TV screen set to obtain automatically. Maybe a clue there...
