Merlin: please update RT-AC86U binary 3.0.0.4.384_45149

I particularly need the improved wifi stability that's in the latest drivers. How long does it usually take before Merlin updates these base binaries?

It’s ready when it’s ready. Moreover, the stability improvements that you mention are related to AiMesh, which is not supported on Merlin.

Actually, I just noticed I'm getting microcrashes with the new official firmware, which causes latency spikes. :/

It happens when he has time. Asking him to upgrade outside of his schedule isn’t how this works.

You are always welcome to compile it yourself if you need it sooner.

Q: Asus just released firmware 3.0.0.4.xxx_yyyyy! Will you implement it/when will you merge it?
A: The first thing that needs to occur for me to be able to merge new code is for Asus to release the GPL code. Next, that code must be available for all models that I support, or at least still be compatible with the binary components of the previous GPL release. Until all of these requirements are met, I cannot do anything.
