Yes, they did not say......... Do you go to the HDHomeRun forum? It would be interesting to know what they saw in diagnostics.
I have a couple ‘extends’ as well.
Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can have an answer. But 3 nights without the IP camera or tuner not dropping off the network is a good sign. Every morning, when I check to see it they are still online, I cringe, hoping they are still online. That tells me that I am making progress. It is not inconceivable that the combination of DVR and flaky tuner and/or something in line between the two causes the issue.
Thanks for the info.I had similar issue in small office a couple years ago. Certain devices would go off network overnight (printers, cameras, coffee machines). The green sleep setting mentioned by others is clue. But these devices didn't have any sleep timeouts.
i set up Solarwinds monitoring to gather data on every device on network, hoping to find a trend. Or at very least, find timeframe when they went offline. Well, i never did find problem as those devices never went to offline again! I suspect the regular 3-minute polls by Solarwinds kept them alive on network. There may be embedded deep in firmware sleep time-out or something.
SD, never told me what their diagnosis showed. I am now at a loss on what I have done so far. What happens if you leave the IP cam off and keep adding back devices ?
Maybe that HDHR is having issues again ? Did Silicon Dust ever indicate what they saw in the diagnostic ?
I don't think it is the problem. It may even be my Samsung 4k T V that is/was causing my problem. I am grasping at straws, now. Even though I turn off the TV, it still has power, so it could be causing my network issues. Why don't you send in the device the company wants to replace and see if that was your problem?
And not have them connect to the internet??So isolate the Samsung, the HDHR, and maybe your DVR on a single 5 port switch. Do not connect your switch to the rest of the network. Make sure each has a fixed IP address locally. The Samsung should use DLNA to find the HDHR. Maybe the DVR as well. See if the IP cam stays online. --
