Is there a new version of Arris SB8200? According to amazon when you look up the 8200 it says there is a newer version, upon clicking on the "newer version" it is the same model # so Im wondering if maybe they have changed something (revision 2). At first I just assumed it was a mistake or a ploy to get you to buy their "frustration free" packaging but if you go to Arris' website you can clearly see in the photos that the back of the modem is slightly different.
I called Arris and they were no help at all, if anyone has bought the 8200 recently please let me know what the difference(s) are? If any

There probably is not a significant revision yet. Both listings on Amazon (January 19, 2017, July 1, 2018) use the same product images and probably only differ in their packaging.

The image of the back of the modem on Arris' website is probably of a variant of the modem used for internal debugging with an externally accessible JTAG (or other) port. This port is left out of production models but you can see the spot for it on the board in the internal photos of a production modem posted here.

There are two entries for the SB8200 in the CableLabs Certified and Qualified Devices spreadsheet though.

Arris did acknowledge there was a newer version but couldnt elaborate on it at all
