New Around Here
Hi. I have an archer C9 that works perfectly but I wanted to try an asus router because everybody talks wonders about them.

I bought an AC68u and for the first afternoon was working fine. The problem came the next morning when I woke up and no wifi signal was received form any of my devices. I tried everything, restore, multiple firmwares and nothing worked.

I ordered a change and for my surprise I have the same problem with the new one. No wifi signal at all. Not 2.4 or 5GHz. In the router settings everything appear to be normal. I tried everything as well with no luck.

What can be the problem? Thank you!!

I have done everything you said.

Now I have both 2.4 and 5GHz signal but i have to be really close to the router to pick it up and its really slow. 10 Mbps from 100 that I should have. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

You can try to PM @hggomes and get access to his firmware and follow the same steps again.

If the issue continues, you may have a bad hardware sample.

As you can see from the link above, the RT-AC68U (with identical base hardware (minus an antennae and the fact that they are internal) should perform at a much higher level.

If it is hardware, try another sample to see if you get a good one or try from another source too.
