Hi,

Just upgraded from 380.68_4 to 384.5 my both AC68U (router+media bridge)
Factory reset on both and everything configured again from scratch.
Everything seems to be working nice again, just like before, but media bridge (MB) cannot access the same NTP server that is configured in the router.

Indeed, MB cannot ping to anything beyond its scope:
Can ping PC connected to the MB ethernet
Cannot ping PC connected to the router (but they show up in network map)
Cannot ping to anything on the Internet (neither IP nor name)
Cannot ping to router itself

Also router cannot ping MB but can ping PC connected to MB

PC connected to MB can surf the web and everything is normal.
Also from the router I cannot see the MB icon displaying in the network map as before.

It's like the MB was hiding itself and tunneling everything.

I checked all the changelogs and couldn't find anything related.

The issue is that in this way MB cannot keep in time as long as it does not reach an NTP server.

Any ideas?

Regards.

Hi,

I solved it.
My fault, it was an odd config I was aware of but forgot to set.
The thing is that in MB mode, the transfers maximizes through the 5 GHz interface, while the control traffic goes though the 2.4 GHz interface.
When using MAC filtering, though it is very counterintuitive, it is needed that the MB MAC 2.4 GHz interface is allowed in the router 5 GHz MAC table.
Otherwise, no connection from inside the MB to the Internet.
This does not happens in Repeater mode.

Regards.
