With both 9xxx versions of the firmware, when I load the router's default page I only see half of the page, all scrolled up and incomplete (see attached image). If I access any other page on the router by using my web history I can browse the router's pages like normal until I try to access the Network Map page.

Also, my DHCP Server list of assinged IPs is not showing up most of the time. It occasionally shows up after rebooting the router. I tend to have multiple Android devices with very long names that I cannot change and also a few Hikvision cameras that have hardcoded long names as well... GRRRRR!!!

Is this still the network map crash issue? Asus wants to RMA my router but I doubt it is a hardware issue... When I went back to the last 7xxx firmware version the bad page problem went away however the missing DHCP list was showing up even less frequently. Everything else seems to work fine and I can administer the router from the Android app.

Any suggestions?

I have two RT-AC3200 running this firmware (one original device, one I've got as a replacement) currently. Both are showing strange issue in the WebUI. WhenI configure them from factory default everything is fine for a few hours. After a few hours I'm dropped back to the login page from time to time. My impression is the longer the device is running the shorter these intervals become until I'm immediately logged out after logging in. This 'return to login page' especially happens when I try to change settings. It happens if I press the button for checking for new firmware ... Even if I press the reboot button this happens without rebooting the device. If i try to change some settings and click 'apply' I'm back at the login page without any changes beeing applied. Devices are running in AP mode.
The only way to get a working device back is to reset to factory defaults using the reset button and doing a firmware recovery. Then it works again for a few hours.
I see the same behaviour on two devices! Also opened a case with ASUS already, no reply so far.
Any ideas?

This is caused by the httpd crash issue, they said they fixed it in the logs, but they didn't. Access your router using this link 192.168.1.1/Advanced_Wireless_Content.asp then go to the logs and you will see that httpd has crashed and was restarted.

So I have 2 questions

I'm using the latest Merlin Version, the latest Asus version one has some improvement that worth the change? And if it worth should I make a factory reset pressing the reset button? Before or after the update?

Thanks

Thanks

I saw some guys that make the reboot schedule daily, why some people make this reboot? Talking about the 3200 one

Actually it is caused by accessing the router using its FQDN (from my internal DNS) I linked to the IP address it receives via DHCP. Accessing the router using just the IP address seems to work without issues till now.

Hello,
I have an RT-AC 3200 which I updated to firmware versions 4.378.9313 and beta 9.0.0.4_378_9366 with hardware reset.
Everything works fine but with both FW vers. I have problems with the Media Server.
I connected a external HDD on USB 3.0 port but when i start a movie on my smart TV which is connected to Wi-Fi 5Ghz-2 (DLNA) , the movie stops after 15-20 mins and it disconnects.
I downgraded to the FW vers, FW_RT_AC3200_3.0.0.4.378.7838 and smartshare is working ok now.
I hope this will be resolved in the new firmware.
Thanks.

Hello,

Hi atlantistm, where do you download beta firmware for the RT-AC3200? I would like to see if the beta version addresses my network map crashing issue.

Thanks!

The network map crash issue should have been resolved by now - Come on Asus what are you guys playing at?
This is a fundamental flaw in the firmware - if merlin can address it why cant you guys? Maybe you should think about employing him even if its just to save face!

Can't believe we are having to wait for the next cycle release before this is fixed - really poor show asus. I've been waiting patiently.

Sold all my other Asus gear because of you guys dragging your feet in other tech areas too - the only thing your managing to achieve is ensuring the likes of me and others don't buy anymore Asus products.

+1, I also have this issue with the current firmware (3.0.0.4.378.9313) and previous firmware.

Hello,
In this moment I'm using this FW_RT_AC3200_3.0.0.4.378.7838.
Only with this fw. I can watch movies on my Smart TV with Media Server DLNA.
You can download the last beta from here.

Thanks for the link. I also found the thread on this forum started by vanic (Asus router firmware developer). Alas this beta version does not fix my issue. Either after some time, or after accessing the Network Map, the DHCP and Port Forward tables vanish and "index.asp" is displayed corrupt. I hope he fixes this annoying issue soon.

Hello all,
I am in the process of transitioning from 68R to 3200. On the 68R, my main workstation, mac pro connects at 1300/1300 (tx/rx). However on the 3200 [ firm ver. 3.0.0.4.378_9313] , the max on any 5 GHz bands is 576/1300(tx/rx).
Its a brand new router and I did the usual, updated firmware, factory reset and configured it fixed non-overlapping channels at 80 MHz in N/AC mixed mode. I also have smart connect turned off all bands. I do not have anything in the usb ports.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen a similar issue where the TX is almost half the speed of RX. Otherwise the connection is stable and the signal is quite strong.
I have contacted ASUS support and reported this issue.
Thanks.

Take it back to the shop and return it whilst you still can dude - This is the worst IT related purchase I have ever made. Never had as many problems with a router as I have this one.
Asus have had plenty of time to fix the issues with the firmware - they should concentrate on stability BEFORE new features as a priority for such an important piece of hardware.

Prob gunna sell mine off soon too.

ASUS RT-AC3200 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9313

Bug Fixes
- Fixed Network map client list related issues.
Does that mean these issues below are fixed or are they still persistent in betas (I don't use the beta versions)?
1. In Network Map tap, click "View List" button.
issue 1 - Click "All" tab and no clients show up; empty table.
issue 2 - Click "By Interface" tab and only wired clients show up. (see photo)

2. On Traffic Analyzer page, where the "All Clients" drop-down menu is, quite a few of my devices do not show up in the list. Simply blank spots. (see photo)

I use the ASUS RT-AC3200 firmware 3.0.0.4.378_7838
