So . im using RT-AC3200 . and my country didnt support 5ghz that have low band like 40-up. Only from 149 to up. And cause the smart settings still buggy. So i just make the 2.4ghz and 5ghz-2 the same ssid. And cuz my android and computer support the low 5ghz. And im such gamer and streamer. I think i will use the 5ghz-1 to another ssid. But now the questions is. Are 5ghz low band better or the same speed or the same range or not? And for info my neighbor didnt used any 5ghz wifi. And we didnt have like 6ghz dect phones. So its completely free. Please kindly give ur opinion. Thx so much :)

Personally I would manually assign most things, to my knowledge there is no difference in speed terms of low vs higher channels when in a particular band. In some countries like the UK you didn't have the option to use any channels in the high range since DFS was required which only really started getting used properly in the last year or so.

Btw. What router u use? And do you have mac and have prob with router and mac? If yes. Is there any real fix? Thx so much

Hi

Please can you be a bit more specific regarding the problems you are having?

Thanks

Aimee
Yea. The regulation d. My other neighbor that have very weak wifi signal saying its on china. One on us. And my wifi itself didnt broadcast the regulation. So my mac connected fine to my wifi with universal channel. So all channels can connect. But when on background wifi scanning found another ap that on US or CN. it will change the mac to the CN and change the channels regulatory. Even im on Channel 1. Its still dropping the internet like it froze. And need to turn off and on wifi . i try the fix so mac only use one regulation region. But its not working on El Capitan (mac os version) so im stuck here.
