Maybe I'm just missing it (first time with an Asus router), but on Padavan's latest firmware, where can you see the port forwarding you've setup? I can set it up, and verify it's working. But I'm assuming there's supposed to be a table under there and that table doesn't show anything. So I can't remove what I've already setup either.

you go to "System log" port forwarding. There you can see what ports are open.

on "System log" connections you see all connections going out.

Yeah, but that shows the wrong port. And still doesn't explain how to remove then.

Are you trying to get into Port Forwarding? That is located under WAN-->Port Forwarding too add or remove. Under Administration--->Port Forwarding you will get a list of the ports that are open via port forwarding configuration by the user and UPnP.

Yeah, that is what I expect. But it is not happening. I can add some port forwarding there, but it never creates the table/list of what I have setup. And then when I check system log, I see forwarded ports, but they are not what I setup. And I know the ports are setup correctly as these particular apps have access the way they should.

If I flash back to latest Asus firmware, ever is as expected. Though the router seems "slower" on stock then it is on Padavan's.

This is an RT-65U.

3.0.3.4-049 full

Just flashed to the newest version this morning. I was on the newest stock fw.

I am having issues streaming 1080p MKV wirelessly on both 2.4 and 5GHZ bands.

The stock firmware seemed to have better connection which leads to a smoother film.

Are there any settings I should change?

All of my issues with Padavan's firmware and my N65U just occur if I try to use the FULL firmware. The MICRO one seems to work just fine.

Though in the end I think I may be returning this and trying the N66U. Compared to the WNDR3700v1 (running Gargoyle), the actual internet connection is much more stable, but never tops out. Where as on the WNDR3700v1 it jumps around a bit, but always ended up topping out my bandwidth. Wireless is WAY faster on the N65U, but coverage in the same location as the WNDR3700v1 is much less for me, especially 5ghz.

its for n56u? so, anybody tried it? what are the changes?
I am running it on my rt-n56u.

I don't know what the changes are since they are written in Russian on their forum.

I am just trying to resolve a problem with my Fat xbox 360 at 5 Ghz with this firmware.

I have been running it for 2 days and I have encountered no problems so far.

I also always having 5ghz problem with padavan's fw. The only one that im facing with padavan's fw. Hopefully its gonna be fixed soon. Not sure padavan is aware of it. Wish i can join the russian spoken forum.

What kind of problems do you encounter?

5ghz would drop if using the internet for a while. eg:surfing, streaming on youtube, downloading files.
its confusing me because it wont drop at all if im using it to transfer files through smb/ftp. even large files around 5gb-50gb at a time.
lowering multicast rate helps sometimes. but never rock solid. i tried changing preamable type back and forth. didnt help either. using fixed channel just makes it worse, changing channel width too is useless. changing region code confuses me because there are only options for usa, europe, taiwan, china and japan. i live in south east asia, wonder if debug is for me. tried that and guess what, it still drops and i have to disable and re-enable to get it up again. this only happen on any build based on kernel 3.x. previous based on kernel 2.x never had that problem, but it has worse problem which is too long for me to write it all here.
i remember that i have two problems with it, dropping 5ghz and hfs+ drive is not mounting. i can live with both problem, but it would be nice if its working properly in the future.

I no issues at all with the 5ghz band, I have a 120mbit cable connection and can max it over wireless with the following settings. Try also use something like inSSIDer to find the best wireless channel to use.

i appreciate your help. all the settings u had is rly bad on me. with that kind of settings on my router it probably will drop within a couple minutes of youtube streaming. there are so many mixed results within rt-n56u owners out there. may i know which version u r running though? i always have the full version instead of micro, because i use transmission and media server almost 24/7. one user named 'Flak' did mention about the full version never worked so well for him/her and installed micro version instead.
