I have a domeescit network with some switches, AP.s etc. I have some POE switches with some empty ports.

For example, I have a NVR with 100 BaseT ethernet and 12V 1 A requeriments. I can use supplied power adapter or I can use POE splitter. ¿what is best?

Idea is using avaible POE ports for providing energy to devices instead of using power adapters. Avoiding power adapters simplify installation

Is a good idea?

Are you sure this NVR can be PoE powered?

Some NVRs have PoE-out for powering attached to them PoE IP cameras, but I've never seen PoE-in on an NVR.

An NVR with 12V 1A power requirements (most likely external power adapter, 12W) doesn't have any PoE guaranteed. Small NVRs for 8x PoE cameras have at least 60W power supply and most often internal. Common 802.3af PoE is 48V up to 15.4W per port. PoE cameras are in about 4-12W each range.

I can power it with a POE splitter

Better use the supplied with the NVR power adapter. One extra device with power conversion - extra cost and power loss.

Does the NVR use a SSD or a HDD?

I remember selling someone a power supply a few months back for their Swan NVR that nuked its power supply because it had a mechanical hard drive and was pulling more amps than the rated power supply that came with it. I ended up selling them a 3.33A brick power supply because the unit would pull 2.5A intermittently.
