No issues assigning ip addresses to my YazFi guest clients. Did a post on it here:

YazFi doesn't work on Aimesh nodes.
Will do some further research on this.If you don't want to use Yaz as discussed below, you can create a dnsmasq.postconf script to add them (requires merlin).
