Possible to use connection sharing from a cellphone?

New Around Here
I was wondering if its possible to plug a cellphone into one of the USB ports on the Asus router and take the internet connection from there? I'm using an iPhone, but am curious if its possible with any other phone if not this one.

Or is it possible with any other cellular modem gizmos, like a Jetpack etc?

Thanks for any help.

Possible with certain cell phones. iPhones are not supported, because they use proprietary Apple sauce.

That's what I figured.

Any advice on which cellphone are supported?

And are any standalone cellular modems supported, like the Jetpack?

Asus supports a variety of 3G/4G modems. You'll have to check their support site for a list of compatible model (note that that list isn't up-to-date however, so you might need to contact their support for device validation).

They supporst mostly Huawei's devices so far.

No idea which specific smart phone are compatible. Sometimes it depends on the carrier itself, who might prevent any kind of tethering in their subsidized phones.
