Prior Working WAN Connect Fails?

Your PPPoE connection keeps dropping. If you are positive that the modem is really in bridged mode, then start looking at external sources: phone cord, make sure you have line filters in place in your house, check if the modem seems to lose sync, etc...

UPDATE

Finally complained my way to 2nd level Frontier technical support where they indicated that Ultra DSL service is "bonded" and does NOT support bridged mode connections. Technician said that various "symptoms" seen in the AC66U Syslog (posted earlier in this thread) were very indicative of PPPoE *attempting* to negotiate Frontier bonded line.

I have no way to know if this information is correct. I do know, nothing I tried would allow a bridged connection to Frontier Ultra DSL service.

Thanks again to all who offered help,
Bob
