Private WAN IP Please configure DDNS service before starting the VPN server...

I am in way over my head. I wanted to try to put a VPN on my Asus RT-Ac68U (merlin-wrt) but I have never heard of these dynamic ddns servers and do not know the first thing about how to configure one. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

You only need to do this if you are planning to put a VPN server on your router. If all you want to do is run a VPN client it is not necessary.

What are you planning to do with VPN?

If you do need DDNS server Asus includes a free one with your router.
