I get an Asus RT-AC68U and after updating to the 380.67 firmware, it happens that at least once a day if not 2, I no longer surf the Internet.
I thought it was the modem, but after testing I saw that switching off/on the router the line went back and this never happened to me before.
How can I fix it .. i can downgrade firm ?

Thank
Hispa

same here and there is nothing in the systems logs, my wan connection type is pppoe and my modem works fine as if i connect directly to it with my pc i have no connection loss.

At the moment i downgrade to 38.65.0 and verifing.
But sincerly i dont understand if the problem is the firmware or fault of Router, but regarding this , i see many others users having this problem ?!?

Sure it's not your isp? Try just connecting your laptop direct to your modem and not router and test it from there.

I have same issue after I upgraded my telus internet to 100mpbs, its port bridging from it. I also saw on my logs bad attempts to login to my router and some connections refused

Yes i am sure...if connect directly to modem no problems for days... When the wan go down infact its sufficient restart router (not modem) and come back.
Now i try to reset all router and install last firmware and retype all settings...if also in this way the problem remain, the fault is the router.

PS
i dont see CPU usage

after trying lots of different things i ve noiced that since i enabled nat acceeration i dont have any connectivity issue anymore so you guys may want to try it. hope it helps

Lan - switch control - nat acceleration . I set that to auto and line isn't dropping anymore as far as I can see.

Also worth to mention that if you have a fast connection (fiber etc) nat acceleration must be enabled to reach the max speed of your line . I ve recently upgraded one of my lines from 100 to 300mbit and with nat acceleration off I couldn't get more than 220mbit. After setting it to auto I get 300mbit full speed

If I'm right about CPU usage, this is not a solution, but a workaround.
