I have been using the ns4300 for about 2 months now with speeds of 1600kb/s and up using wireless. Now for some reason I only get 70-90kb/s up and down. Nothing has changed on my system. Even tried updating drivers on wireless and nothing. I am using Win 7, but it was working fine for 3 weeks, so dont know why all of a sudden it would change like this. Any ideas?

**UPDATE**

When I go and switch to XP, it works fine. So something happened in some sort of setting wtih Win 7. Any ideas? Ive even put the registry back to fresh and still nothing. Last resort is format, but I would like to knwo maybe the cause so I dont do it again.

Hey NK, I have been using Windows 7 on test systems and also my home system for quite a while. Every once in a while when I transfer data between NS4600N or NS4600 performance drops by 2/3 or more. Not quite sure what the cause is but I asked to the team to investigate. It is possible the SMB stack in Windows 7 has some bugs... Use my email to keep in contact: billyh@promise.com

Thanks.

Well I just re-installed Win 7 and since then have had no problems. Thanks for the reply. I just hope it doesnt happen again, lol. I kind of hate XP now but I like the NAS better. lol

NS4600 speeds also went to crap

Hey PND,
I'm having the same issue. At first set-up everything went smoothly. I had random error which I could not trace, then everything went to crap. The connection is so slow now that my programs time-out.

I think this may have happened after the Win-7 upgrade. Any thoughts or suggestions?
