- Fixed an issue where users could not connect to the Internet using PPPoE 2.1.0 after updating QTS to 4.3.2 or 4.3.3.
- Fixed an issue where non-administrator users could not upload files with alternate data streams to the NAS.
- Fixed an issue where the name of guest users who connected to the NAS via Samba would be incorrectly displayed on the "Online Users" list.
- Fixed an issue where users could not upload files that were larger than 3 GB via SMB to an external drive whose file system was FAT32 or EXT3.
- Fixed an issue where the NAS could not wake up from Sleep Mode after users created a port trunking group in the Balance-alb mode.
- Fixed an issue where Storage Manager could not display certain types of external drives when these devices were connected to the NAS via USB 2.0 ports.

[Other Changes]

Users can now be notified when downloads complete (instead of when download tasks complete).
- Added support for the USB 3.1 PCIe card USB-U31A2P01 on the following NAS models: TVS-463/663/863/863+, TS-563, TS-463U/863U/1263U, TVS-471/671/871, TVS-471U/671U/871U, TVS-682/882/1282, TVS-682T/882/1282T, and TES-1885U/3085U.
- Virtualization Station
Due to advancements in the backup features, virtual machines created in older versions (1.x/2.x) of Virtualization Station can no longer be backed up and restored in 3.0. (A workaround is to clone an older Virtual Machine; the cloned VM can be backed up/restored, but all original snapshots will be removed)
- After updating the NAS managed by Q'center to 4.3.2, the administrator of Q'center must input the password of each NAS at Q'center Server to continue monitoring.
- TwonkyMedia is no longer supported. Use the DLNA Media Server built into QTS as your DLNA server.

My system performance has gotten worse with every iteration of 4.2.x. But 4.3.3 really tanks it out. After booting, my poor little TS-112P sits at 100% CPU utilization for several minutes before it finally gets everything loaded.

And that's with basically nothing running on it. It's just an AFP/SMB file server with a couple backup processes.

With this many changes coming in, I would recommend waiting a couple of weeks if the QNAP is deployed in a production environment...

It's a big update - so let it settle for a bit... I'm seeing similar with the TS-453 Pro.... and I don't do anything really odd with it, as I have other boxes to play with...

I'm facing the not spinning down issue on this latest beta

This is not a beta, it's a final version (and a 'last' version for many QNAP products).

It's not a minor release - lots of stuff changed under the hood...

This one might be a wipe/reload... after the fact, it's not that bad...

You were right, sorry. It's final.
Since I uograded 4.2.4 to 4.3.3 I'm facing the not spinning down on my HDD's after 1h of inactivity.
I'll have to check what is causing to be active 24/7

You mean to wipe config and reconfigure all manually again? I'm a bit insecure on the process... I'm worried on losing data if I press it too long

No, I mean a total wipe/reload - the data you're worried about should be backed up - worst case, copy it over to something, and then do the nuke/repave..

The idea of the NAS was to be the backup. I don't have another place to copy all that data and do a full wipe.
That's the main problem. And subscribing to a cloud service and wait days to upload almost 4TB does not justify it.
There should be another way

NAS needs to be backed up periodically - Seagate 5TB backup plus USB3 drives work very well for this task.

QNAP's Backup Station is perfect for similar backups, and QTS now also allows for snapshots in 4.3 (and maybe 4.2, but I observed this when rebuilding after the 4.3 upgrade.)

Just wanted to follow up on the comment above - 4.3.3 was a big update - and part of that was some packages I also had installed - specifically QSirch - which is their document search and viewer app - which forced a re-index for every file on the NAS...

Once that wrapped up - things did settle down quite a bit, and the TS-453Pro is running just fine with the 4.3.3 releases...
