Router lock up when using "Enable reboot scheduler" option

I had selected the reboot option on a weekly schedule. It seems to do intended reboot most of the time. Occasionally the router will lock up, last log message is:
"Sep 7 02:30:13 kernel: Emergency Sync complete"
The router wireless is not running; Ethernet attached devices not able to work.
Router is AC3100. Firmware is 380.68

I have not seen the problem when doing a manual reboot from the Router GUI.

Power cycling the router everything restarts normally.

I think I might have asked you before - if it was you, apologies - but why the weekly reboot? Is it to forestall errant behaviour on your router, or is it a habit you got into on a previous router/firmware?

And, when you have power cycled do you still get this lock up a few days later when the automatic reboot kicks in?

It was not me that you asked previously.
I guess that old habits are hard to break!
It does not seem to matter if it is first auto reboot after power cycle.

In any case I have turned off the auto reboot option. If I have problem in the future I'll put it on a power switched outlet that I used in the past for my cable modem. But that is fixed now.

Good. See how you get on without it. I've had an RT-AC68U for years and have never had any need to reboot. But then, other than OpenVPN servers, I keep it basic, nothing exotic running, and I have restored to factory default settings as and when Merlin has stated the requirement.
