I have a new (less than 1 week old) AC86U and am running 384.5 on it.
Fairly plain vanilla config with the exception of adding several static IPs to DHCP.
This morning I awoke to find that there was no network internal or external.
The lights on the router were dark, so I power cycled it.
This is the log when it returned.

Code:
Jun 21 21:23:07 roamast: eth5: add client [30:07:4d:fe:a6:98] to monitor list
Jun 21 22:08:08 kernel: eth1 (Ext switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 8) Link DOWN.
Jun 21 22:08:11 kernel: eth1 (Ext switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 8) Link UP 100 mbps full duplex

Jun 21 23:45:12 roamast: eth6: add client [20:ee:28:67:65:e1] to monitor list

Jun 22 04:41:17 roamast: eth5: add client [a8:80:38:25:0b:94] to monitor list
Jun 22 05:11:52 roamast: eth5: add client [88:71:e5:f1:5a:5e] to monitor list
Jun 22 06:00:01 kernel: Emergency Sync complete

Any idea of what I should look for or shall I return the router as defective?

Yes I do.
But a web service that creates a new page every 5 minutes created the last page at 5:20.
I don't know what this "web service that creates a new page" is but it doesn't sound like a "plain vanilla config".

It looks to me like the router hung while trying to do the reboot. Perhaps the "web service" crashed stopping the router from shutting down properly.

It is a web server on a different machine.
So, plain vanilla.

I agree the router hung during reboot.
The question is why?

Same thing happening here. It doesn’t happen everyday but it seems connected to the daily scheduled reboot that I do due to 2.4ghz wifi cutting out.

Trying the new alpha build now and have turned off the schedules reboot.

So outside offbase comments, nothing?

I've already returned the router and will have a new 86U here tomorrow.

No problems since that one occurrence, but I have disabled the reboots. Though, looking at the time other devices lost connection, the lockup occurred about 40 minutes before the scheduled reboot.
