Hello.
I was looking for something in the forum but couldn't find anything suitable, so I open this thread.
I have an RT-AX88U with two switches for more LAN connections.
1) D-Link DGS-1008P 8-Port attachet to one LAN Port and
2) TP-Link TL-SG105E 5-Ports attachet to another LAN Port
I use the AX88U as a DHCP Server.
Everything works fine and all clients got the right ip adresse.
BUT: in the Network List at the Router there are some confusions.
Some names got wrong ips and some MAC Adresses are mixed up with names/ips.
For example (just one, there are more cases):
My printer with MAC XX:XX:XX:C3:78:15 should be named "Brother Printer" with IP "192.168.1.11"
In the Network view when i take a look in the List, i see
MAC XX:XX:XX:C3:78:15 with name "Brother Printer" but with "192.168.1.81"
There is an AV/Receiver attachet to the same switch as my printer wich is listet ip "192.168.1.11"
Additional i can see my SmartTV listet 2-times with another IP i assigned via dhcp.
BUT: When pinging, all clients got the right IP. So luckely this is only an optical problem, not realy a technical
I think this confusion must be because of my two SWITCHes.
Does anyone got the same confusion with names/ips/MACs when using switches?
THANK U )
