RP-AX56 disable LED?

Is there a way to disable the LED on the RP-AX56 extender? There doesn’t seem to be a setting in the web interface. I could resort to electrical tape but thought there might be a more elegant solution.
 
A black Sharpie (pen)?

A dab of black nail polish?

Hide the extender behind a poster/picture frame?
 
Check the Asus phone app. My 86U also has no way to disable LEDs in web interface, but sure enough, the option is there in the phone app.
 
RT-AC86U button is at the back, RT-AX86U button is on the side.
 
Ah, yes indeed! I never noticed that button before it's so well blended into side of unit.

And obviously, I did not bother to read any quick start guide or manual, lol.
 
There are more physical buttons, if you haven't noticed yet. The Reset button is the one most often used. :)

*I always knew that white tape would come in useful for something someday!

You can actually turn off the LED and never comes on even when the device is rebooted until you turn it back in the web/mobile app.
Let me share the location
 
The option is actually available and works fine. I have rebooted and tested it.

- Using either the web or mobile app optione, select AiMesh on the list of options
- Select the RP-AX58 (Aimesh node)
- Select the management option
- LED On/Off slider button is the first.
- Slide left(off) and right(on)

Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24654

Having seen this work for me on airCUBE, and yet lacking in some asus routers, it was the first checkout for me when this item arrived.

I used to customise the wps for that purpose but the LED will be back after a reboot.

If that option was not incorporated in such a new asus device then it would be a big let down.

Try to configure you devices and let us know it this was helpful

Yup that option is there now, but I don't believe it was back in 2022!
