RT-AC66U - Merlin WRT & QoS for Maxdome, netflix etc.?

Hello

I would like to use QoS with my RT-AC66U & Merlin WRT.
It should give priority to video streaming stuff like Maxdome, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Whatchever etc. in general.

Question is if this is possible?
I have no idea if this is possible since some of these Apps don't use a specific port other than 80 or 443.

I know I want to priorize traffic from the WAN to my TV's IP and the PS3's IP over traffic to other devices on WLAN (Smartphone, Tablet) or LAN (PC, printer).

I don't find settings regarding source and destination, maybe I just don't understand the settings. Source IP is not the source of a video stream, but the source, which requests the video stream - right?
So it should be possible to say ANY port/ANY protocol from source TV or source PS3 should be priorized (Priority Highest) in order to work as desired?

Is this feasable or am I screwed?

I don't do a darn thing with QOS and I have 4 routers.....2 Asus and 2 Linksys.

The amount of devices I have connected would probably make your head spin.
I don't have any issues with the 2 Xboxes, Laptops, Desktops,Kindles and SmartPhones.

Well, you're a lucky guy then.

I have to circumvent stutters and thus am not a lucky guy.

I did have a stumble with a firmware upgrade and my Kindle but with several firmware flavors to choose from sorted.
I certainly hope that you get yours sorted also. With the Gurus on this site it won't take long.

So, if I interpret the backend options correctly I can prioritize all server traffic from 80/443 originating from one source (TV or PS3).

Am I wrong? Any hints welcome

You could have easily tested this for yourself all this time.

Just an option you set and see if it meets with your expectations.

Make sure to reboot the router after any changes and verify that the changes stick.

Yes, you can QoS based on MAC address which would help your bandwidth issue. To see a brief tutorial of this, check this video on Youtube by ASUS.
