New Around Here
Hi all,
I'm a newbie. The regular dropout from internet frustrated me alot. I always use the latest firmware from ASUS. Recently, I heard Merlin firmware has better performance and with lots of known bug fix, so I flash my router with Merlin last night. However, it drops again this morning. Can anyone help and tell me whether it's problem with router or the ISP? system log attached.

Response and help is much appreciated. Thanks.

1) Your USB disk filesystem is corrupted
2) Test with Transmission disabled, as it can generate instability if your router runs out of memory due to it.

How to resolve it? Format hard disk again? What's the second one? How to solve it? Sorry for noob question.

How do you read the log? It a heap of text. I assume windows messed with the format somehow or it's not formatting it correctly.

Open it with something less prehistoric than Windows Notepad :) Notepad++ can handle Linux formatting, while Notepad expects both a carriage return AND a linefeed at the end of each line.

Since you use a Linux filesystem, you'd need a Linux PC to do a filesystem check. Backing up + reformatting might be simpler, depending on the size of the disk.

Transmission is part of Download Master, which you have installed.
