Can someone report back if you're able to check and apply Games only in AiProtection "Streaming and Entertainment"
I'm currently using Merlin's 378.51 and I can't save it with Games only, Internet Radio and TV always get checked after I apply the setting.

I hope they providethe source code to merlin.

You cut and pasted the old previous firmware version. Here is the new firmware description:

I have the RT-68P router and they don't have this firmware listed under that model yet.
As of this posting they only have it listed under the RT-68U model number. So get it from there.
Here is the link to the Asus download page:

I think you will find that most of the description is from the old firmware (4376) as well.

Notice the md5:, it is for the previous firmware (4376).

Yeah, Asus must have rushed to put it out on the download site and used the previous firmware versions description as a template and forgot to change that part for the md5 checksum. They cannot be exactly the same if the code was changed. It would calculate to a different checksum. So that's their mistake showing the old md5 checksum for previous firmware.

Seems a factory reset is not required.

Is it required to 'Factory Reset' the settings IF flashing/upgrading over 4376?

I see no reason why one would be needed, based on what changed in 4585 versus 41xx code.

Thanks
I simply upgraded to this new firmware from the previous version without clearing nor reloading any configurations. It has been working just fine since I've loaded it. I don't use all the fancy QOS or anything though. Just using it for basic router connectivity. I do have all the AIProtection choices enabled. No hiccups or connection issues so far since I've loaded this new firmware. Also, I simply just loaded it and did not even power off and power on the router. I just let it update and reboot itself and been off and running since yesterday without any connection issues.

Oh, Oh! I just looked at the syslog this evening and see a ton of repeating messages occurring continuously at intervals. Here is a cut and pasted sample of what I am seeing: (What's up with that? I did not have any of that nonsense on the previous firmware!):

Will this work on the AC68P version? It states .4376 is the latest for the P version.

I was just about to comment on this as well. No 68P update available.

I'm really getting tired of how Asus rolls out their firmware updates. Is it difficult to release the updates for ALL of their routers at once, especially for like models, instead of playing this cat-n-mouse game for each and every update.

I agree. All of them have different dates as well.

Got a Plex server? If so, there's your problem.

Yes, I do have a Plex server... but why wasn't these messages constantly showing up in the previous firmware? Is there a way to stop it by configuring something on the Plex server?

Hi, yes this will work on the RT-AC68P router also. That's what I have and I've loaded it and it seems to be just fine (other than my post about those erroneous syslog messages I am getting.. but RMerlin just replied and said that those messages are due to running a Plex server.)

Ok thank you very much for confirming this. As soon as I get my 68P I'm loading this firmware.
