Anybody knows if the latest version (RT-AC1900P maybe?) comes in white?

The nomenclature of a white model will for quite sure end with "W" of White.
There is the RT-AC68W, you need to look on the box to be sure of the hardware version.
Honestly I do not think there is a significant difference in performance between the RT-AC68 variants.

Looks like the same 1.4GHz emblem found on the Best Buy RT-AC1900P box. Same B2 revision and mfg date as well.

This post was initially to distinguish the RT-AC68U variants. I'm not sure that it makes sense to also list the RT-AC88U or RT-AC86U there, they're completely different devices, with different components and a different SDK.

My 68u came clocked at 800 MHz. Can't see a revision number on the box. It was manufactured in 2014 so probably a very early model. So not all of them are 1 GHz models.

It does run Merlin and it does overclock to 1000/666 using the services-stop script. Can't OC memory because the CFE version I use says it doesn't support it and I don't want to try it.

All the RT-AC68U pertinent mods seem to work on it including stuff related to transmission.

IMO all TM is hw 1.70, and clocked 800/666
for oc memory you must update cfe from 68u (1.0.2.0), or update modified cfe with 1000/800 settings.

I have the exact hardware (B2), firmware version and manufacture year. Purchased mine at BB a few days ago as well.

I did notice on the box the flash memory says 128 MB, DDRIII is 256 MB. The review on SNB says 256 MB of flash. So here comes the newbie question for the pros, why is the flash size different from the review?

I also confirm this: the box at BB for B2 HW for AC1900P does say flash 128 MB and RAM 256 MB. Even ASUS' site on the product says 128 MB flash.
The SNB review isn't the only one thought which report a 256/256 MB for flash/RAM though.

Can anyone with V3 box confirm that this other version is 256/256?

Just out of curiosity, why do most people prefer to convert their RT-AC1900 to AC68u instead of AC68p? Is there a better option to get the AC68u instead despite having lower clock speed?
