Rt-ac86u gui freeze

Having an issue with a new 86u when I'm using the web interface. Every few minutes the gui will lock up and become unresponsive. Refreshing the page or even opening up a new one results in a blank page. The only way to access the interface again is to restart the router. Firmware is stock 3.0.0.4.384_81039. I have a 68u setup as a ai mesh node with wired backhaul. The entire network continues to work during the web interface crash. Any ideas?

You must of updated to 3.0.0.4.384_81039 since it just came out a few days ago. You need to fall back to previous version while ASUS finds/fixes their bugs. Seems they are releasing beta firmware now

Yes the router updated just after I hooked everything up. Just my luck they borked the firmware the day I buy a new router lol.

Be sure to perform a factory default reset after downgrading.

I have the same exact routers and configuration and the same annoying issue. Flashing merlin instead.

I am having exactly the same issue after my AC86u is updated to 3.0.0.4.384_81039. Then webui freezes randomly and is quite often. My AC86u is in aimesh (wired backhaul ) setting with AC68u . The webui is back to normal after my AC86u is restarted

i can't believe i tech savvy person like me didn't know about this place before. I've been having the same problem and only because of this place i now know it's a FW issue and i reverted back to FW 45717 and everything is working now.
