RT-AC86U Merlin Bypass VPN

Hi all

I have my RT-AC86U setup with a VPN Client where I have all devices traffic routing through the VPN.

I'm finding certain services - Kayo Sports in particular, that block the use of VPNs ( probably to stop overseas people accessing their app )

Is there a way to bypass clients accessing Kayo from going through the VPN to directly go to the internet ?

In the VPN client settings, set up the client to use policy based routing.

Then using VPN director, create rules such that the devices you don’t want to use the VPN are set to use the WAN as the interface.

(ps- this is actually a Merlin-specific question. You’ll probably get more responses posting on that forum…)

Ps/ if you use DNS Director, realize that use of policy based routing (Aka, VPN Director) changes the way DNS director works …
