I was actually going to sign up for that forum and ask but when i seen they want your mobile phone number to confirm the account i declined.. Asus 1354 works good for me but it would be nice for a new version being it's such a new router that i know can be even better.

The ipad mini started to work with the 5g network.
With the AC66U never even showed up.
Only got a max uplingk and downlink of 150MBs.
The first AC phone (HTC one) shows up at 433 uplink and downlink on the 5G band.

Yes. WTFAST is not working for me either. I get an error message when logging in. It is obvious to me that WTfast is not supporting this router. There has not been a single update, since the router was released. The supported games list is still very limited and has not been added to, since the router was released. It is a gimmick by Asus in an attempt to sell more routers to the 'gamer' demographic. They are misleading in their description of the WTFast service in that gaming consoles are supported when they are not. Other than the WTfast gimmick, it seems to be a good router and is working well for me.

1) With multiple reports of reduced wired throughput (~33%) with firmware version 3.0.0.4_380_2064, is it possible that ASUS will not officially release this update, holding it back until that issue can be resolved?

2) Approximately how long after you get the pre-released firmware updates does ASUS typically officially release those updates?

They have been releasing one more update after release. This is the latest one: 3.0.0.4.380.1354 i don't if you have that one installed, your signature says 380.858

He's right though. I could log in now, but what the hell? They have like 6 games in there and that's it.

How does wtfast even work.
Presume for the PS4 the traffic goes to their server so just routes differently.
No way of checking this though.

I'm no expert but it's supposed to be a "special" vpn that can more quickly connect you to game servers and bring your ping times down. What I see it as is additional bloatware ASUS continues to add to their router firmware instead of concentrating on more important things. There's a reason people use Merlin builds over stock firmware and they have a whole team dedicated to this stuff.

I tried Merlins firmware but made gaming slightly worse.
Reverted back to official releases.
That was on the AC66U.

Saying that most of the problems was on FIFA which is P2P which is likely to have been down to differences between isp's and traffic shaping as well as corrupted profiles within the game itself.

You can't select a mac address without also selecting a game, so I'd say no.

First at all sorry about my bad english and thank you very much for your firmwares...

Recently i purchased a new 88U (i had before 87U) and as always the frst thing i did was flashing your fw.
At this moment everything is working fine for me except for one:
All the smartphones on my house are APPLE my own is iphone 6S Plus wich i connect to the 5ghz wifi, whit this phone i had excellent wifi speed whit the 87U, my ftth is 300/30Mb, but now whit the 88U i cant reach even 150Mbs of download and the conex is very unstable (many peaks).
Is there anything i can do to fix this??? i leave a screenshot of my history speedtests so u can see my last speedtests whit 87U and the new ones whit 88U (same phone, same ftth, same place and even at the side of the router)...

Reset the network connections on your iPhone. Reconnect to the network, then rerun the test.

Already did that... even tested whit a iphone 6s (mine is plus) no way to get better results...

You can try and disable beamforming. If that does not work, flash the latest Asus 3.0.0.4.380.1354 firmware, then reset the router to defaults. I have had better results with the Asus firmware over the Merlin firmware on the RT-AC88U. I am running the 1681 beta release on mine. Here is pretty good guide for setting up Asus routers....
