I want to reinstall my router , but is it better to configure the 2,4 Ghz separate from the 5Ghz ? Or to make one smart connection ?

Smarter not to use smart. While it may work for some network environments, it doesn't for most.

Use unique SSID's for each band/radio you have. This will give you full control of your network clients by allowing 'you' to decide where they connect to (and when). Sure, its hands-on 'manual' control. But that isn't a dirty word when it gives a more stable and more performant network either. :)
