Hello everyone,
I'm coming to you for a bit rate problem in TX. I have an RT-AX88U router under Merlin 384.17.
I have several devices in wifi 6 (3 iphone) and some of these devices are bridled from time to time (but not every day) under system log => wireless log.
I notice that my iPhone or my father's TX remains extremely low (34mpbs) Except the other devices remain at very high values. see screenshot below.
I did not activate Beamforming and MU-MIMO. I may disconnect and reconnect the device to the 5GHz network, the problem is always present for a while and then the values go up.
When I connect on 2.4ghz, in AX, the values are normal (around 229 mbps RX and TX) I already had this problem on the official version of ASUS Wrt.
This happens from time to time and for a few hours. an idea ?
Thanks for your help

This is normal, it's not a problem. The RX and TX rates will vary depending on the behaviour of the client and the demand for data.

it’s still strange. At the time when I saw this, there are only two devices connected on the 5GHz in AX and apart from Facebook and Safari, I did nothing else that could increase traffic. some days, at least 5 devices are connected to 5GHz at the same time (AC and AX) and no slowdowns. because with a TX as low, everything is slower on the device in question.

If the problem is intermittent then it could be caused by interference from nearby radio sources, or even solid objects (e.g. doors) blocking the signal path. The device in you screenshot has a very low signal strength suggesting it's probably quite far away from the router.

What kind of speeds do you get when you run a speed test? I can see really low Rx/Tx values from time to time, but when I run a speed test I get the full bandwidth of my connection (250/15).

I can be 2m from the router without obstacle and I get the value Rx/Tx & RSSI : 1080/34 (-55dBm) in the wireless log. The connection for this device is extremely slow, for the others, the connection remains extremely fluid. Attached, a speed test when I have the problem. my connection is 400/20.

Have you tried deleting the connection in the iphone settings, then making a new one?

Yes, I disconnect, I reconnect = always the same problem.
I forget the network and I connect to it again = always the same.
I really have that randomly and not always on the same device ...
attached, a capture at the moment with 3 devices without any problem.

How about the WMM APSD setting in the wireless professional settings on the router? Try diabling it if enabled and vice versa.

hello, I dig up this subject a little. the problem returned. I don’t really understand why on AX wifi devices there is only one stream. in addition, I am again limited to 34mbps in TX and my wifi is slow on my iPhone.

hello, I still have not found a solution to my problem. When I have multiple devices connected to 5ghz, at least 1 device is limited in TX. Why ?
I have almost everything disabled under the professional tab.

Hello,
I applied the same settings as yours, I flashed my router with version 384.18 (the same as before) I did a factory reset again and reinjected the important settings with NVRAM. I changed the channel (36 before it was on 104) and unfortunately I still have a device that after a while does not exceed 34 mbps (see photo) any other ideas?

Importantly also, when a device disconnects from the 5ghz network, the speed returns to normal for the device.

hate to diy up old topic.. but I am also having the same problem on my ax88u
I still cant enable AX @2409/2409.
it's only when I turn off AX/160mhz and switch to AC/160 then I managed to secure 1733/1733
AX/160 only gets me 2409/229

the thing is all my 4 AX laptops are doing 2409/229.

My problem has disappeared. I've never had a TX problem again. If you want, I can show you my wifi settings.

i did a full reset and the wireless log is showing 24xx/24xx. but what I couldnt understand was why downloading from my NAS was ~45MB/s but uploading to my NAS is ~100MB/s
i know my NAS isnt the problem cause it's connected to the switch via 10GbE

use 160Mhz, not 40/80/160 mode
