So it looks like from the GUI screens and the LED logo on the top, that this will be another ROG category router.

@maylyn - are there any new non-ROG models in the pipeline and/or expected to be released around the same time as the AX89X?

This the non ROG version ASUS AX flagship router to begin with.
NDA/embargo in place for the next ASUS flagship tri band AX ROG router. You have to wait until CES 2020 (7-10 Jan 2020) for the official announcement that's all i can mention right only.
Some performance metrics
Specially configured 10Gbps Speedtest XGPON1 based collaboration with SingTel 10Gbps team.
Netflix (local)
SpeedTest Ookla (Singapore server)
I think there are other mid tier ASUS AX routers in the making as well. I need to clarify with ASUS TW HQ first. (Can't remember the SKU)
This was done by someone in Singapore on SuperInternet 10G Optical Ethernet on Ubiquiti on their SuperInternet specially configured 10G Speedtest Ookla server setup.
I strongly believed that ASUS RT-AX89X is able to achieve this kind of results as well.
I'm not comparing whether XGPON1/OE is better, of cos OE have more advantages like contention ratio/RTT/symmetrical speeds etc etc

I work with SFP+ and QFSP+ daily at my datacenter job with 100Gbps connections, but to see that speed for home users vs our shirt ISP's in the USA
