So... after dealing with this issue for a while now, changing 3 RT-BE88us so far, nothing is conclusive.
I tried different settings:
- with and without IOT separate network
- with and without USB stick
- with and without Merlin firmware
- reset the routers hundreds of times in the attempt to try different settings
- switched back and forth between firmwares (including different release versions)
I used a WIFI analyzer app to monitor the router's bands, and the 2.4GHz constantly appears and disappears from the radar. However, when I go to the UI, it tells me that it has clients connected to it, which is VERY WEIRD.
No luck! Anyone has an idea why the 2.4GHz disappears?
I'm appreciate some thoughts if anyone managed to get this fixed.
P.S.: This is the third RT-BE88u router with the same behavior. I also experienced the same thing with an older AX88u, but this only happened after a few years of good use.
