Firmware version 3.0.0.6_102_37506-g3caded7_1090-gca005
- Release note -

Bug Fixes and Enhancements:
- Stability and security enhancements.

Sorry, fixed the typo on the year if anyone saw it as 2005 instead of 2025.
Also, one other additional note: Support site isn't reflecting today's update yet. Still shows 2/21/2025 release. This just showed up in router UI's firmware update.

I second the MLO feature not being used in my particular setup. So, other than hearing in general of the feature not being stable across different router brands, I'm not familiar with this particular issue.
EDIT: I looked up the MLO issues regarding Asus Routers and based on the thread I looked at on the ROG forum, it seems like turning on MLO stops the wireless network. At least that's what happened to the person's router in that thread, which was the GT BE98. I would test, but since I don't currently own any WiFi 7 devices yet, I can't use it right now. So, I'll wait until I get some WIFI 7 devices to test it.

So the MLO is still not working? I never use that feature
The wireless becomes unusable after an hour or so after having MLO enabled. Factory reset is required to fix it, so I am not checking again until Asus says it is fixed. I don’t really need it, so I’m just curious.

From what I read it seems like it's because Asus Combines MLO with Smart connect and that's what also causes problems, and the post I read from the ROG forum said they thought it was going to be a potential issue until Asus separates the functionality.
Here is the thread I'm referencing: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-routers/asus-gt-be98-pro-mlo-dilemma/td-p/1019038/page/2

Their reports look very similar to my experience.
I’m not fiddling with it until a see firmware release notes that specifically address this issue.

Well since I wasn't sure what issue was being mentioned, that site above was the top result of a google search I did on "Asus MLO issues". Seems like it's all asus rouiters and not just this one. The one on that thread was a much higher end router, and still had the same issues you described, and experienced it seems like. So, it sounds like at this point, if people need MLO functionality Asus might not be the best choice. I can't personally confirm this for myself since I can't use the feature yet due to lack of WiFi 7 devices currently. However just reading other people's experiences, that's the impression / current conclusion I'm getting.

I woke up this morning and my BE92U was factory reset on its own. (grr)

After setting it back up again it told me there was a firmware update and it downloaded and installed 3.0.0.6.102_37506-g3caded7_1090-gca005_BB0B

I think that was the first time a router has factory reset on me.

I’m currently using a Asus BT-10 with MLO on using three WiFi7 phones. I’ve tested with MLO on and off and so far it’s working pretty well. I’m using only one BT-10 as a single router. Seems this model is a bit further along with the firmware, the latest one really cleanup up a lot of the problems. I’m hoping for the same firmware trajectory for the BE92U so we’ll see.

I wonder if Asus treats their stand alone and mesh systems differently. As the Link I posted above with the issue also was with the GT-BE98 and maybe Pro too and that's a higher end model than the BE92U. So we'll see. I don't have any WiFi 7 devices currently so it doesn't make sense to even enable it right now. As far as @scottct1 's issue. Never heard of that happening before. Maybe it was part of Asus' way of fixing bugs if coming from an older firmware with known bad settings.

Hey guys, I know this is for the BE92U, but since I started this thread, thought I would toss a quick question out to see if anyone knows the status of the RT-AX86U. I have mine as a backup to if the RT-BE92U becomes unstable /unusable, and have checked the support site from Asus and the current firmware is still the one from last year to patch the security flaws. Also nothing has showed up on this forum regarding that router in terms of new firmware, or if it's now EOL. So thought I would ask to see if someone had info I didn't.

Thanks

Asus has an End-of-Life product list page:
The RT-AX86U is not currently listed on it as being end of life as of this post.
