I've seen that from multiple posts from others on this thread, so that's why it's confusing. e.g Isi t bad routers, or just bad firmware.

Sounds like Asus may have pulled the update then, if they truly found issues with it. Any issues I've had, have either resolved themselves within a number of hours, if not less, or doing a factory reset. When I check for updates, it says I am up to date and the version is still 3.0.0.6.102_37506
I'm wondering if this is a geographic issue? I'm from the US and updated fine. Are those of you having issues from the US as well, or other parts of the world? No problems here, router on auto update now firmware 37523
I'm in Dubai and there is no update offered past 3.0.0.6.102_37506 although the ASUS Middle East site shows the corrupt 3.0.0.6_102_37523 as the latest. I checked ASUS UK and the latest firmware there is still 3.0.0.6.102_37506I'm wondering if this is a geographic issue? I'm from the US and updated fine. OK, I'm looking to see if there is a pattern here, maybe in reporting issues, also post the location of where you're from to see if there is a particular part of the world where it's worse. sorry I wasn't specifically meaning you in that statement. You already told me yes. I should have phrased that better and instead of using the term "You" I just meant people who have already posted and future posters should provide their location. both on success and fail. to see which areas are worse. and Dubai is in India.I just told you, I live in Dubai, which is a city in the United Arab Emirates/Middle East
No worries, Dubai is not an India dude, LOL. Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emiratessorry I wasn't specifically meaning you in that statement. You already told me yes. Where Is Dubai? Facts, Geography, and History
Dubai, located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf in the Middle East, is a city in the United Arab Emirates, as seen on any typical Dubai map.www.thoughtco.com
Yup, they have pulled it, now you can't even download it anymore. They must have discovered some bugSounds like Asus may have pulled the update then, if they truly found issues with it. That's good to know. Maybe those of you who have had issues using the web browser interface, try with the mobile app, to see if you can update. The upgrade can work over the air from the Asus app (as the over the air update is not in a zip container). I successfully upgraded to 3.0.0.6.102_37523 from the Asus app on my mobile phone. Note that it appears this update also updates the bootloader as the bootloader version is now "U-Boot2019.07(03/24/2025-20:23:12+0800)50404p3@523100". I think Asus should be more transparent about what is actually in these updates.
Even with the mobile app, there is no update for meThat's good to know. Maybe those of you who have had issues using the web browser interface, try with the mobile app, to see if you can update.
This is why I use an app called BandiZip that has an option to verify the compressed file after the job has been completed (can also be done with 7-Zip/WinRAR) but this is rocket science for them I guess. And whomever zipped the file at Asus should receive retraining (perhaps even job shadowing) in zip file management. The firmware file for 3.0.0.6.102_37523 cannot be unpacked correctly from Zip as it is truncated.
