Skynet reduces write speeds to an external HDD.

Router AC68U, firmware Merlin 386.14_2

I use an external HDD as a simple NAS, connected to USB 3.0 port. Yesterday I installed Skynet on to same HDD used recommended 2GB swap file and recommended settings. Everything is working except that the write speeds to the HDD has dropped by 10MB/s. Ive tried using a separate usb thumb drive for Skynet via USB 2.0 and I still lose write speed to the external HDD.

Ive tested speed via wifi and via lan cable connected to my laptop, transferring various files from laptop to the external HDD that is attached to the AC68 router.

Anyone know a solution how to get the write speeds back up? Besides uninstalling Skynet.

Also test switching Skynet filtering to inbound only. It may be the incoming LAN traffic to the USB drive is slowed by Skynet’s filtering on br0.
Code:
firewall settings filter inbound

Put a USB2 thumb drive in the other port. Remove Skynet, other add ons, Entware and the swap from the drive used for storage. Then format the thumbdrive to EXT4, add the swap, entware and Skynet.
Not a great idea to use an Entware/add on drive for storage.

Based on suggestions Ive tried:

Disable all loggin.
Set filter only to inbound.
Disabled Skynet.

Even though Skynet was disabled and I have rebooted the router. read and write from and to HDD, was still slow. Once I uninstalled Skynet, read and write speeds went back up.

Oh well.
Cheers.
