It’s too bad there is not Synology specific application. Without docker.

Probably not going to be any different than running Speedtest on your desktop.

Adding apps to the NAS - well, it's your data, and you're trusting a third party to vet that app...

There was a recent issue where a lot of public sites where ransomed out and locked down because of an external management application - not on Synology perhaps, but understand the risk.
