Actually i noticed that Asus is dropping support for routers quicker. And i see that gpl's are not reaching @RMerlin so since my ac68 got supported for a damn long time... I was more then happy. My gt release in 2019 got dropped only in 2024.... So is their any line for durable support like perhaps the 68u off course iam in the market for wifi 7

All we know officially announced is the minimum support period. Some countries now require minimum support period and Asus posted official compliance notices. In the UK as an example this period is 4 years. The firmware is global though, not regional. How long the actual support is going to be depends on support upstream from the chip manufacturer, model popularity, Asus marketing decisions, etc. Perhaps nothing new will get the support period of RT-AC68U.

Warranty period is regional and distributor specific. Asus routers from Amazon, Newegg, BestBuy, etc. larger distributors in Canada as an example come with 2 years warranty.

In the UK at least, no matter where you bought it from, as long as its a legit seller, comes with 3 years warrantyt which is activated as soon as you register the serial number on the Asus support web page

Support period means nothing though because Asus has still supported in theory models with no firmware update for years. They also have unsupported models in theory getting security patches from time to time.
