Hello,

I am having problems getting this to work.

I have the path set to /tmp/sda5/traffic/

The traffic directory exist and is write able by everyone.

I selected yes for create or reset data files and I rebooted the router.

Still I see the following in the syslog.

Cstats[516]: Problem loading /tmp/mnt/sda5/traffic/tomato_ctats_60a44c699700.gz

I have also enabled per IP monitoring and set it as the default.

Shouldn't this work?

I do see that a rstats file has been created in the directory.

Thanks,

Carl

There are two separate data file reset/create option: one for cstats, and one for rstats. Make sure you also selected the second one.

I have the same problem. Happend before in one earlier firmware upgrade, that it was not longer possible to load the traffic stats fil.

Apr 12 09:11:33 cstats[513]: Problem loading /tmp/mnt/sda1/Asus/Log/tomato_cstats_3085a9e62158.gz. Still trying...

Only solution in the past was to restet and create a new data file for loging the stats.

Total traffic consumed is sill shown. But when checking traffic monitor per device, the statistics are empty.

In the Log folder I have two files:
tomato_cstats_3085a9e62158.gz
tomato_rstats_3085a9e62158.gz

Hey, I'm having a similar problem with cstats. I'm having trouble getting it to save/load to USB. It logs client traffic just fine, but if the router reboots or loses power, the logs are cleared. Rstats on the other hand seems to work fine and survives a reset/power loss.

I've tried resetting/recreating the advanced data file(s) a few times, but doesn't seem to help. The USB drive is formatted FAT32, and there's no errors or reference of any kind to cstats or rstats in the system log. The cstats file gets created on the USB drive, it just never seems to save/load. Also tried deleting/recreating it, in case it was corrupt.

Any ideas? Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks!

I have this exact same issue on a Toastman build of Tomato. Curiously, mine is an Asus RT-N66U. Maybe it's an Asus issue? What I don't understand is why a reboot should affect it. I can see/read/write to the directory fine.

Has anyone made any progress?

There are a lot of bugs related to cstats that were fixed in the latest beta (354.29).

Thanx for the tip RMerlin that relly saved my bacon. I never realized there's another one that needs regenerating.

It's no very obvious maybe you should put it on the wiki as a tip or something.
