unfinished boot after software-reboot with long uptime

Hello!

My AC68U (latest stable FW) runs rock-solid and never reboots or has any suspicious messages in the log.
But when i hit the "reboot" button in the GUI - the router only partially reboots:
5GHz becomes join-able, but router IP or WAN is not reachable.
2.4GHz is visible but not join-able.

This only happens, after long uptimes (like a few weeks - i only reboot before and after firmware updates)!
Directly after a power-cycle the reboot from GUI works flawlessly.

A USB stick is plugged in and used solely for AB-solution.

It's a common issue, happens mostly to the RT-AC68U for some reason. No idea what causes it, since it's intermittent (it only very rarely happened on my test router).

Sadly i noticed nothing.. but i'm not really sure, if anything was logged at this bootup (time is messed up during boot).
Before the next reboot i'll clear the log to be sure!

Thank you for the clarification! As i already mentioned, it only happens after uptimes of a few weeks.

Just as an experiment when the next time comes to do a reboot, prior to that go into then web interface and un-mount and remove the USB drive.

To see if it's related to having the USB drive plugged in.

I think i can report back for the sake of completeness.
The USB drive was not the culprit - RAM was..

I disabled "Memory Management: Regularly flush caches (default: Yes)" and my RAM usage was quite high - around 200MB of 250MB.. and i had the problem mentioned above.

Then i tried enabling "flush caches" and voila - every reboot works just fine!
RAM usage now hovers around 100MB (sadly .. i normally like my RAM being used!!).
