Using Entware on Asus Gt-Ac5300

The use of an UBI filesystem does open a few possibilities, but due to the risks involved, it's not the type of matches I'm willing to handle to anyone else, less they set fire to the whole router...

One thing I learned about gt-ac5300 install script for entware, reloading firmware resets root_fs so I did this on current stock and two betas

That would make sense, since the firmware image is written directly to the flash. Also, there are two firmware image partitions, which are alternated between flashes.

To the guys that have a Gt-ac5300, did you know the first boot of a new usb drive, points /tmp/mnt/BS points to /tmp/opt/ and /opt?

Sadly it does not stick and survive a reboot? Gurr.

Got it installed on a Rt-ac86 and seems to be working perfect atm.

Modified the install script for my model and changed the entware download install link to the 64 bit version by zyxmon.
