There are two files (inside the zip):

Move nat-start into "/jffs/scripts". Move hosts.add in "/jffs/configs". Then do "chmod a+rx /jffs/scripts/*". Reboot.

Of course take a look at the files and adjust them to your needs. You can use notepad++ for that.
I've tried the two files (0755), reboot the router, but when I input in browser "http://transmission or http://asus.transmission" nothing happens: "the page can not be displayed". What I'm doing wrong? Shouldn't redirect me to: http://routerip:9091/transmission/web?

Thank you!

In telnet type "vi /etc/hosts". You should see at the end of the file the lines you wrote in "hosts.add". Exit by typing ":q".

If the lines are there, there must be a problem with the iptables. We'll try to solve it.

Also, didn't you edit the files with windows notepad, did you?

Yes, the files are displayed at running the command.

I edited host.add and nat files on the router with WinSCP.

Try to navigate to 192.168.0.253 in your web browser. If it doesn't point you to 192.168.1.1:9091 there must be a problem with the iptables. You could then try sinshiva's method: just copy paste from his post.

It doesn't point me to 192.168.1.1:9091. I will try later the sinshiva's method.

That's strange, however. I've now checked my files and they are exactly the same. I've rebooted and it still works fine.

Are you browsing to "http://asus.transmission" or to "www.asus.transmission"? I've just noticed that the latter doesn't work. Probably needs a specific rule in etc/hosts. Edit: I meant in /jffs/configs/hosts.add

I'm browsing "http://asus.transmission".

Sorry for bumping such a old thread. But this is the closest I have found to what I would like to do also. But I cant get it to work. Are there maybe things that have changed in later versions of the firmware? I'm running Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58.

The only thing that works is the hosts.add things. But that don't help much =\
