Using your ASUS Router as a News Server

Just wondering if it is possible to use an ASUS router (I have an RT-AC3200) as a news server to download content direct to the USB drive. I know it's possible with torrents but don't really like using them.

There was a thread over on reddit - might help, there's some packages in entware that can help - performance might not be awesome

Thanks! I'm guessing I can't install entware on stock firmware though right? Reading the thread people are saying that performance isn't all that but it won't be too bad I'm guessing on the top end models.
