Hello to all

Asus fan here since 2008. I am currently behind a great question. All of these models seem to be old hardware by today standards. I'm ok with that, as I am not putting 500USD to a wifi7 router.

My priority is:
1. Asus AX11000 Pro
2. Asus AX6000
3. ??

I was thinking about the AXE11000 but my AXE7800 spoke really bad about this 6GHz bandwidth. I am keeping my AXE7800 as a mesh for main bedroom. I need a master router, which one would you recommend?

If your going to be keeping the AXE7800 for aimesh and want to utilize the 6GHz band then you would want something like the AXE11000 or AXE16000 the other 2 you listed while generally will work but neither have the 6GHz band. You want to keep the models as close as possible for the best results even another AXE7800 would be just as good.

Thank for your answer! I don't mind loosing the 6Ghz band, It is not much useful and only my iPhone is able to use it. I rather have 2 5Ghz radios. But since it's staying in my room for like 4 devices, I don't mind loosing the 6Gh band.

The AX11000 pro would be the better bet as it’s newer with newer hardware and should be supported for quite a while. It’s a very good router I have personally had it and it did really well and I never had an issue with any connections or speed

True Asus fan indeed. Only true Asus fans buy this model.
I have had a lot of them, an AXE7800 for 150usd on amazon, that's a no brainer. I have had many routers since the AC66U v1 to the AX series. Usually my friends fall in love with the network and I sell them the routers so I can try something new, it's like cars, who keeps them more than a year? The only old thing in my live is my grandma.

Just for information, I drive more than 80K miles a year, maintenance alone is more expensive than just changing it. What car? Simple Toyota, low to no maintenance cost, great mileage, low insurance.

This is no car forum, but with most respect, I wouldn’t take advice from someone owning a Range Rover. That’s like, according to this forum, the AXE7800 of cars.

Anyway, long story short, I bought an AX11000Pro on Amazon for $240 plus taxes. I’ll keep the 7800 as it will cover two devices in a bedroom. Thanks to everyone!

i drive 180,000 km a year I'm in construction cjecking sites 3 times a week and my house is 100 miles from the office , plus 4 times a year I drive from Montreal to Houston to check on the office down south so miles big deal it's good for the car don't take my advice , you are on ignore from now on

I can't believe you guys are getting bent on the size of your mileage! :) But I do appreciate the challenge of driving far and driving well, like a pro.

Here there are, AX11000Pro is bigger than expected, certainly bigger than AXE7800

Nevertheless, Aimesh is not working correctly, for some reason, SSID are turned off on the node. Ethernet works fine though. Will work fine without aimesh configuration

Still not as bad as having a Range Rover
