Hi,

I am following and installing Merlin's firmware since I have the Asus router RT-N66U in use. With the latest beta's (27-29) I notice that the WiFi-link on 5 GHz is not so reliable as my Vaio laptop is switching to 2.4 GHz all the time (distance between router and laptop is not more than 2 meters). With previous firmware versions this wasn't the case.

So my question: which Merlin version is most stable for 5 GHz usage per today? Is that 26b or should I have to go back even further?

I hope to see a non-beta build soon which runs close to perfect :) .

Thanks Merlin for your time and effort to get most out of these routers!

Bernd

26b is best for me with the RT-N66U on 5 GHz (with my MacBook Pro as my primary 5 GHz client). I found the new beta driver to be too flaky, and its a known issue.

26b has been great here.

Yes definitely 270.26b

I tried 354 beta but had nothing but problems with Broadcom's new wireless driver. And my wireless adapters have Broadcom chipsets.

Me too. It was way better for a few days (much stronger signal) then after a week or so the router needed to be rebooted.

Thank you all for your reply.
I have now flashed 26b and the first signs are positive!
