Why can only see some Chromecasts not all?

My PC is ethernet to the router & has Plex media server on it.
A pair of Chromecasts is on SSID assigned to an AP upstairs that is backhauled to the router.
Chromecast in the family room downstair is on the router under a guest SSID.

When I use Plex I can only see the pair of Chromecasts upstairs.
How come I cannot see the family room one? Is it because it's hidden behind the Guest Network?

Using Merlin on a RT-86U

Guest is a vlan that is isolated from all other network traffic by design. You will have to force the chromecast to attach to the SSID that puts it on the rest of the network. Perhaps you can force it to only join to your regular network ? Or put guest only on one band (2.4 or 5 GHz) and the chromecast on the other ?
