Hi all,
I could use some help in understanding the best way to do this:
I've got a desktop PC, a printer, and a laptop that I want to use in the same room, but there's no wired connection to my main router. If I put in a wired unmanaged gigabit switch in that room and assigned static IP addresses, would they be able to communicate to each other in that room? If so, would those computers (one Windows, one Mac) be able to get to the Internet using the wireless connection, but be smart enough to talk to each other over the in-room gigabit wired connection?
Thanks!
