Hi I've got an AX86U with Merlin 386.3, Yasfi 4.3.3 and one 5Ghz guest channel enabled. If I set Yasfi Enabled from Yes to No for that channel and hit apply, the countdown appears and ends and then the completed sign appears with the dotted circle still going around. If after a few seconds I refresh the page the Yasfi page comes back with enabled set to No. If I then connect to the guest network I still get a '5' subnet IP and I'm still connected to the VPN. If I then reboot the router the Guest network connects to the normal WAN on the '50' subnet.

can you check for any errors in your browser console please? and can you share a copy of your syslog around the time you attempt to save?

ok so the settings save, that's fine. but because there are then no enabled clients yazfi incorrectly exits. I'll fix that.
re. the page load, those messages can be ignored and are unrelated. can you do a video of what happens? it might be ax86u specific because I don't see it on ac68u or ac86u. the page reloads as expected

thanks, i'm definitely not seeing that on my routers. the router should refresh/navigate to the same page when it hits 100. are you running any addons in the browsers?

do you see the same with any of my other scripts, if you run them?
I have uBlock Origin on Chrome but it's disabled for the router IP. I tried with MS Edge as above which is standard as I don't normally use it and get the same response. I don't use any other of your scripts I'm afraid.

would you mind briefly installing connmon just to try saving settings? all my scripts save in the same way (or should!) so it would be useful as a quick test

Will give it a try.

Installed connmon and changed IP from 8.8.8.8 to 8.8.4.4 and saved and the page reloaded fine.

Do the rest of the addons work properly now?

Does it still work after a router reboot?

If you mean does the Yasfi page reload correctly - No.

After a reboot, does the connmon page reload correctly after saving a change?

Yes. Changed ping IP from 8.8.8.8 to 8.8.4.4, it saved and the page reloaded fine.

Edit: Time for bed in my part of the World. Back tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Hmmm... :)

But, did you reboot and retest it?

Tried this morning after a reboot and the Yasfi doesn't refresh afterwards and the connmon does.

I had an idea that during the Yasfi apply process when (I assume) the WiFi drops my computer was connecting to my Aimesh node which was not reconnecting (wired backhaul) immediately after the application and that's why the page didn't reload. I removed the power from the Aimesh node and still no reload. I also tried with a wired connection and again still no reload.

When doing above I discovered that if I go to the Yasfi page, uncheck ' Table will refresh every 5s' and hit apply, the page comes back after the 'Applying settings' countdown. When the page comes back, the refresh box has been set active again. If I apply again the reload doesn't work until I uncheck the refresh box again. Each time it comes back active. HTH.

no idea why the connected client refreshing would interfere but it's something to work with

i've just released some hotfixes which will hopefully solve the issues for you

Firstly, thank you very much for all your effort here. The problems of the page not reloading after applying a change seem to be cured and and setting Yasfi Enabled to No seems to turn Yasfi off now (without a reboot). :D

Yasfi now connects me to the VPN in that a traceroute to an external IP shows the connection going through VPN but I cannot get DNS to work. I notice that when I connect to the Guest network the client gets passed the 2 DNS servers listed on the Yasfi page even with Force DNS set to No. Should this happen?

I currently have the selected VPN DNS set to exclusive with a local DNS server (PiHole on 192.168.50.2 set to listen on all interfaces) listed in the custom config <dhcp-option DNS 192.168.50.2>. I normally connect via this route by toggling a rule in VPN Director. Is there any way I can use this setup with Yasfi?

Thank you again - Andy
