Do you really not understand the difference here? The key point is the response. The arstechnica post you cited about Cisco 0-days says that "Cisco has released security updates that patch the vulnerabilities and is urging all ASA users to install them promptly." When have you seen ASUS acting with comparable urgency?

Asus had reacted with comparable urgency, when needed. Even if you don't want to see it.
