Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.9 is now available

That post contains issues reported after the 388.9 release, and which should be fixed in the next release.

Any considerations to adding the WPA issues so users are aware without digging through previous threads and posts?
Everything wifi related is outside of my control.

Are you only listing reported known issues that are within your control for some reason? or all known issues related to the firmware? That last reply didn't clarify that.
Either if it's in your control or not, it's still a good consideration to have to save people re-reporting it as seen in the threads.
Especially considering it's something someone would want to know about *before* flashing; whether it's in your control or not.

I only list issues that I have confirmed for a specific release. I don`t list any wifi issue because, since I have no control over them anyway, I don't devote time in trying to confirm whether they are firmware issues or end-user issues.

Understood, so to summarize I understand correctly, anything listed there is confirmed by you, but if you haven't devoted time to confirm it, then it doesn't get listed.
The only reason I mentioned is only because it might of helped 'some' users before flashing (assuming they read the notes that is).
I realize even reading the notes sometimes doesn't happen though; so the value may be limited. I for one would of noticed and factored that in if it was listed as a known issue for example.

I think you will find @ExtremeFiretop‘s time is otherwise usefully engaged elsewhere supporting users of the firmware, in particular one of its extremely valuable addons, of which he is the author.

But i do, as you know I've reported the issue initially in alpha and my troubleshooting in my thread and followed the reports in this thread closely.
So I do donate whatever time I have to the community when I can. All I was thinking is although this is one of those issues out of @RMerlin s control, it might of helped highlight the issue more if it was validated. But I realize @RMerlin has limited time to donate as well, and can't be spending time validating issues outside of his control. Which was his point initially if I understand correctly.
Absolutely, and as you recall I followed your concerns on a specific issue, with @aex.perez, in your own thread, before you brought it across to the release thread.
It’s often difficult to know exactly what someone means by a particular statement, so I’d have to give him the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure it was meant well, but my interpretation was that all the issues that were known that were outwith Merlin’s control also be collated and reported, so users could decide (to install or not).
However I am not sure you’re best placed to perform such a function, it would require reading and reviewing all posts associated with a release, deciding if it was a reproducible issue, one that was outside Merlin’s control and listing that.
It sounds a time consuming task and once you have done it once, the expectation then becomes that you become the guardian of the Asus-only issues list, for each release. I wish you all the best with that ;-).

If I were running AsusWRT it might, but I'd also need the update for the AX88u.
Then again, see the release notes where it shows "Merged GPL 388_25373" vs this being 388.24339, but it's a start

Hi, I have a AX86U and just installed 3004.388.9, and I'm using a reverse proxy locally. The reverse proxy I'm using is based on nginx. I have a rule setup as follow:
I updated my reverse proxy to the latest version, but I have the same issue. Any recommendations on how to fix this? Could be something introduced int this version? Thanks!
