Great suggestions, but this was anomalous with this router. In the past, file size transferred runs 3-4 GB max at any one time...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

RT-AC5300 384.10 Had to transfer 50GB to network drive running through the router usb 3.0 router slot. Internet ground to a slow crawl. Logged into the router and found both cpu cores running in the high 90's to 100%, and ram was also pegged out or at 96% min. This was a critical multi-file...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Uploaded to RT AC-5300. Dirty flash from Beta 3. So far, so good... Noted in Beta 3 and this final that RAM usage is up 10-11% (63% vs. 52 before cut over). After 30 minutes or so, the RAM usage fell back to 52%. During this whole time, CPU usage was never higher than 3 % in either core. I...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 Beta is now available

Just an FYI, still getting hundreds of these in the log. They don't seem to be affecting operation of the router. The dnsmasq seems to be a set of 3 varying numbers-317, 321, or 325: Mar 14 22:47:45 dnsmasq[317]: failed to send packet: Operation not permitted Mar 14 22:47:45 dnsmasq[317]...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Had the same failure (days running, core 2 100%, soft restart, total unresponsiveness, etc.) requiring a hard reboot to restore operation... Weirdness! RT-AC5300

Eric, here is the config info from the IPv6 page. Is that where we are looking? I am a little out of my depth here... Configure the IPv6 Internet setting of RT-AC5300. IPv6 FAQ Basic Config Connection type Native DHCP-PD Enable Release prefix on exit Enable IPv6 LAN Setting LAN IPv6...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

You are so correct! I had forgotten that there was a visitor on Guest. However, then those 'WLCEVENTD: wl1.1: Assoc entries' probably do not have anything to do with the hundreds of 'dnsmasq[323]: failed to send packet: Operation not permitted' entries being generated? I am using IPv6 as the...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

I do have an active Guest network, but there aren't any clients using it over the period since I upgraded to 9. I also have a Netgear wifi bridge active in extending internet access to various wired devices in the home entertainment center. These are new log entries that started after the new...

No VPN, Wireless Router Mode, QOS in use. I get these associate/disassociate messages, usually on tablets or phones. Then, I get the huge stream of dns messages. Ex: Feb 17 04:07:02 WLCEVENTD: eth1: Disassoc **:61 Feb 17 04:07:02 WLCEVENTD: eth1: Assoc **:61 Feb 17 10:03:56 WLCEVENTD: wl1.1...

[384.9_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Eric, This is what I tried to set minidlna right again. If it would help, I'll put Alpha 2 back in use, add a new mp4, and see if it picks up the updated content. Then, I'll look at the log... Before I deleted the index files to try a total rebuild, I copied the minidlan.log. It runs fine...
